Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely operate light vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Plan and execute efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, contributing to cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting passengers warmly and ensuring their comfort during travel.
- Assist passengers with their luggage and provide guidance on safety procedures while in the vehicle.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations, using sound judgment to ensure the safety of all passengers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or management regarding any delays, vehicle issues, or other concerns.
- Stay updated on local traffic regulations and conditions to avoid delays and ensure timely arrivals.
- Promote a positive company image through professional behavior and appearance while on the job.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages can enhance communication with diverse passengers.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, enabling proactive care of the assigned vehicle.
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems to efficiently plan routes and avoid traffic issues.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar driving role, showcasing reliability and competence.
- Valid light vehicle driver's license with a clean driving record, demonstrating responsible driving behavior.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in transportation or logistics is a plus.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a pleasant experience for all passengers.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting luggage and prolonged periods of driving.
- A professional demeanor, with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to foster good relationships with passengers and colleagues.
