Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Prepare equipment in line with production requirements
  • Sets up, installs, and configures lighting fixtures and equipment according to production lighting plots, guaranteeing correct positioning and safety compliance.
  • Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on lighting systems to minimize downtime and maintain performance readiness.
  • Assists in programming lighting cues and updating technical documentation to support consistent show execution and future reference.
  • Performs show running duties as required for performances including followspot operation.
  • Collaborates effectively with stage operations and production teams to coordinate technical requirements and solve issues promptly.
  • Monitors lighting system performance during rehearsals and live shows, intervening quickly to address technical faults.
  • Ensures adherence to health and safety regulations in all lighting-related activities to provide a safe working environment for the team.
  • Reports equipment needs, faults, and inventory status to the Lighting Manager for timely procurement and repairs.
  • Supports training initiatives and continuous development by participating in technical workshops and keeping up to date with emerging lighting technologies.
  • Provides ad hoc technical support during setup, rehearsals, and special events as required.
