JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic Function:
Has the responsibility as the key logistics contact for issues resolution. Responsible for the country overall logistics planning including forecasting, modelling and projects management. Work closely with region logistics to develop strategies, KPI s and procedures. Responsible for all transportation and shipping activities within the country ensuring smooth process, safety and compliance measures are met
Main Job Responsibilities

Responsible for managing country logistics team that is accountable for customer delivery and full compliance with import / export regulations for both the company and country

Ensure the effective management of logistics team for area of responsibility

Collaborate with country leadership and PL s to implement best practices to ensure smooth flow of logistics processes

Identify and address any logistics related issues, discuss with concerned parties and escalate if not resolved within reasonable timeframe

Design strategies, implement methodologies and execute plans to address communication problems between shipping and receiving locations

Ensure optimized infrastructure and experienced manpower in place to handle equipment movements between Weatherford BP s / customers for the country

Coordinate with regional trade compliance team to ensure full implementation of all related trade compliance policies and procedures ensuring that only approved vendors are utilized

Always keep open communication channels with PL teams and logistics team in order to optimize the process, minimize/eliminate delays and ensure cost effective operations

Provides managerial leadership, coaching/feedback and development for direct reports and business partners

Responsible for establishing, maintaining and enforcing logistics procedures, system and database in compliance with region preset measures and standards

Clearly understand WFT s short and long term business goals and objectives and ability to align group direction with those objectives

Develop and implement cost reduction plans and continuous improvement in logistics / supply chain

Maximize all opportunities to leverage synergies in: selection and utilization of transport modality; optimized usage of consolidation locations; and efficient scheduling of transport timing, to ensure the Company receives the best value for the services provided.

Monitor and track monthly vendors KPI s and perform regular vendor performance audit / review and deliver reports to senior management

Adhere to safety / quality procedures in accordance with WFT QHSSE management system
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be technically oriented.

Strong fiscal disciplines, with the ability to analyze, prioritize and translate results into meaningful financial metrics.

Ability to demonstrate support to region for implementation of logistics strategies and procedures

Ability to outline and communicate effective objectives and action plan

Demonstrate ability to perform root cause analysis and process mapping

Excellent communications and presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure and with limited timeline

Strong data analytical skills.

Working knowledge of major ERP systems - JDE

. Working knowledge of distribution warehouse/hubs management
POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS
BSC / Diploma in business, engineering or related education
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics field within multinational environment and demonstrated competencies
General understanding of warehousing management.
