Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the supply chain logistics of an organization. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual capable of ensuring that goods move efficiently from the manufacturer to the consumer. The Logistics Coordinator must coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. They handle real-time issues that may occur during the transportation process and work to resolve them promptly to minimize disruptions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a knack for problem-solving, and proficiency in coordinating with vendors and partners to optimize the logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate logistics operations involving shipments, deliveries, and supply chain processes efficiently.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transportation companies to streamline logistics operations.
  • Monitor transportation costs and recommend cost-effective solutions to reduce expenses.
  • Plan and track shipments in alignment with customer expectations and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all transportation and goods movement activities daily.
  • Optimize logistical models to improve efficiencies and service delivery performance.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key logistics partners and stakeholders.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure accurate product availability forecasting and planning.
  • Prepare and submit logistics performance and financial reports to management regularly.
  • Implement best practices in logistics trends and technologies to enhance productivity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems, such as WMS or TMS, is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
