SHARE JOB Logistics Coordinator Dubai The Logistics Coordinator is in principle responsible to coordinate and supervise all administrative activities in the logistics office on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Deputy Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supervising the reception and loadings and completes correctly all documentation process for inbound and outbound shipments. Key responsibilities include: To ensure accurate and prompt communication with both contract logistics staff and customers, liaising with transport companies and managing relevant documentation. To understand the customer by being aware of the different requirements, needs, and services for each one. Your tasks and responsibilities • Local Inbound document checking and validation. • Manage and Organize Air & Sea Freight Import activities and status. • Monitor, communicate and manage supplier pre-alerts & documentation. • Manage the Customs Clearance process including FIRS, Bill of Entry & any necessary customs clearance documentation. • Manage FIRS and Dubai Municipality Food Inspections. • Report any discrepancies to Deputy Manager and customer. • File paperwork accordingly for QMS and audit purposes. • Track and monitor inbound shipments, verify packing lists and invoices and other documentation involving materials received from suppliers for delivery to client . • Update databases and other reporting tools to maintain visibility of shipment status. • Extraction of the preparation orders and prioritization of the preparation sequence. • Validate outbound deliveries and issue documents for the trucks. • Packing Management In and Out (pallet balance by supplier and stores). • To follow up requests and/ or problems that customers may experience. • To keep ongoing records for key account customer shipment status. • To be able to resolve complaints and disputes with relevant customers. • To be pro-active in resolving issues and problems before they occur. • To establish and document clear guidelines on the level of service that each customer requires. • To ensure that relevant customers are kept satisfied. • Resolve customs clearance issues in a timely manner in coordination with the customer. • Extract and issue specific reports related to the Logistics Activities. • To ensure that the customer service complaint system is in place, followed and provides for accountability of errors. • Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures. Company Industry Logistics / Transportation / Warehousing / Courier Department/Functional Area Logistics / Supply Chain Desired Candidate Profile • Educated to Degree standard, or the equivalent work experience • Minimum 2 years experience in Warehousing • Experience in a Retail environment • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a must • Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry and operations • Understanding of Customs Clearance procedures • Advanced skills in MS Office tools • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative • Be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and under stress • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams • Strong customer orientation skills • Conflict resolutions responsible for resolving customer shipping and receiving issues Good reasons to join We offer a multicultural work environment where you can develop your career and foster your professional growth among diverse opportunities, in a challenging and highly collaborative setup.
