Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency in the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the company's objectives, focusing on cost reduction and service improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with freight carriers and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service terms.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management to meet customer demand without overstocking.
  • Coordinate transportation and distribution activities, including route optimization to minimize delivery times and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding transportation and logistics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Implement technology solutions such as warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential, with a master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) are highly regarded.
  • Experience with international logistics, including customs regulations and import/export procedures, is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) are an asset in global operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including WMS, ERP systems, and data analysis software.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions that drive operational improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and challenges.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a proven track record of managing and developing diverse teams.
