Logistics Manager

• Contractor cost competitiveness
• Obtain quotations from freight contractors and submit to finance department for approval
• Expedite shipments of parts, chassis, and vehicles
• Ensure Contractor service efficiency
• Track the service level and ensure shipments are delivered as per pre-agreed schedule
• Follow the logistics procedures to ensure effectiveness of logistics services
• Evaluate day-to-day operations of the logistics operations
• Lead the logistics operation finding best mode of transportation for the contract
• Develop the transport plan and implementing the delivery completion
• Liaise cross departments to ensure all departments are informed about the current status of shipments, financial requirements and product readiness
• Ensuring documentation is compliant with UAE regulations
• Prepare documentation, follow up and obtain export and import permit approvals from Ministries and authorities in UAE (MOFA, MOD, SIRA etc)
• Maintain regular contact with approved freight contractors to ensure level of service and attention is applied to Streit logistics needs
• Review freight rates regularly to ensure optimum profitability is achieved for the company
• Expedite documentation related to shipments
• Maintain regular reporting system to management
• Coordinate with the logistics team and contractor on required fleet for shipping of ready vehicles and parts in accordance with information provided by production, procurement, and finance department
• Monitor loading on booked mode of transport
