Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Low Voltage Electrical CAD Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing low voltage electrical distribution systems, with a focus around systems engineering, automation and applications across a variety of projects, working in design software and engineering tools to provide optimized and de-risked proposals:
- Design and develop low voltage electrical systems and components for automation projects.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
- Select appropriate electrical components and materials for system design.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during the development and testing phases.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
- Liaise and support with multiple internal stakeholders inclusive of product line management and front end solutions architects
