Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate machines according to production specifications, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Monitor machine operations in real-time to detect any anomalies, making immediate adjustments as necessary to maintain efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production flow.
- Document production data, including quantities produced and machine performance metrics, for quality control and reporting purposes.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to perform inspections and tests on produced items to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and share best practices for improved output.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Train and mentor new machine operators, sharing knowledge about machine functions, safety procedures, and efficient operation techniques.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies to enhance production capabilities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on equipment performance and suggesting enhancements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in machine operation or related fields are a significant advantage.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment, showcasing a solid understanding of machinery.
- Familiarity with industry-specific machinery and tools, including CNC machines, lathes, and milling machines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise machine setup.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, consistently producing high-standard output and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Physical stamina and dexterity, capable of standing for long periods and handling heavy machinery safely.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially in diverse work environments.
