A Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facilities and equipment within an organization. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for supporting various operational tasks that contribute to the upkeep of buildings, machinery, and infrastructure. • Assist in conducting routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Support the maintenance team in performing repairs and adjustments to faulty equipment.
• Participate in routine servicing of machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards.
• Help with installing and setting up new equipment and systems as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing schedules, and parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks and using tools.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procuring necessary tools and spare parts.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems to diagnose issues effectively.
• Ensure workspace and maintenance areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Perform basic support tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry, as needed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively to minimize downtime.
• Support the implementation of facility enhancement projects and upgrades as directed.

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in maintenance work.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple maintenance tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for coordinating effectively with team members and vendors.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
• Proficient in using standard maintenance tools, equipment, and safety devices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
