Maintenance Engineer - Electronics & Instrumentation PETROLEUM SPECIALITIES FZE

Organizing routine servicing schedules, carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work, and responding to equipment faults, diagnosing breakdown problems.

Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment, monitoring, and controlling maintenance costs.

Developing Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and leading the team to deliver effectively.

Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed. Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.

Inspecting and operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

Ensuring routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ensuring that designated buildings, plants, and facilities are fit for purpose and providing proactive support/solutions when required.

Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.

Managing the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant, and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal.

Identifying and deploying the technical skill sets, resource levels, and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.

Updating mechanical engineering job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Maintaining complete records and reports of the maintenance including instruction booklets and operations manual.

Coordinating with external vendors and service providers for inspection, installation, and other plant-related engineering jobs.

Supervising technicians, and helpers and ensuring they are using proper PPE while working and avoiding any unsafe conditions.

Using permit to work system and ensuring as applicable the permit to work is taken before the start of the work. Promoting Health and Safety, Training the subordinates on HSE, and the use of PPE.
