Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations for port and yard equipment such as cranes, forklifts, terminal tractors, and other heavy machinery.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and recommend necessary improvements.
- Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure smooth workflow and quick response to breakdowns.
- Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and reports accurately.
- Lead, train, and guide maintenance technicians and mechanics during shift operations.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and maintenance tools as required.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and technical assessments related to maintenance operations.
- Enforce company policies and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at all times.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or port maintenance supervision.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in port or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Good leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on a shift rotation basis, including weekends and public holidays if required.
- UAE experience preferred, particularly in port operations or logistics environments.
- Valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.
