Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules tailored to specific equipment needs, reducing the risk of unexpected failures.
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled workforce.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work without disrupting production activities, ensuring seamless operations.
- Inspect facilities and equipment regularly, identifying potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory, to support budgeting and operational decisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment failures, applying advanced problem-solving skills to restore operations promptly.
- Manage vendor relationships for outsourced maintenance services, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven track record of leadership experience in a maintenance supervisor role, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Certifications such as HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical are highly desirable, showcasing specialized knowledge in key areas.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, enhancing communication in diverse work environments.
- Strong technical skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, enabling rapid problem resolution.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates holding an associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
