• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field;
• 3+ years of production support in business-critical, high uptime environment;
• 3+ years of Network Operations or System Administration;
• 5+ years of NOC Manager;
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, to cover 24x7x365 support schedule;
• Proficient Experience with monitoring technologies (e.g. Solarwinds, IBM Tivoli, ZenoS, Nagios etc);
• Ability to understand and create SOP for various applications;
• Proficient with IIS and checking/accessing the logs from Windows servers, Linux Servers etc;
• Experience with network or server administration including troubleshooting Cisco IOS, Linux, Unix and Windows environments;
• Experience in UNIX shell or MS PowerShell scripting is a plus;
• Ability to identify, prioritize, delegate and escalate event situations appropriately with limited direction;
• Understanding of Infrastructure environments – VMware, storage, networks, databases, etc;
• Understanding of industry standard process frameworks (ITIL / Six Sigma);
• Ability to configure monitoring and alerting by following policies and best practices;
• Ability to check issues on Database servers (MS SQL, PostgreSQL etc);
• Ability to search for errors in various log analysis tool such as Splunk, ELK etc; and
• Understand the certificates on servers and load balancers along with monitoring traffic on load balancers such as f5
• Certifications Preferred:
o Cisco CCNP or CCIE,
o Public cloud : AWS Certified Professional or Azure Certified Professional

Desired Candidate Profile

Responsibilities:
• Supervises and provides technical guidance for 24/7 technical staff.
• Must have Technical IP Network/Software/Application Support Experience including helpdesk/helping end users with software questions and issues including application performance, system stability etc.;
• Technology Proficient: Must be able to learn and maintain an excellent knowledge of our products and apps;
• Experience building and leading NOC engineers;
• Contributes to employee performance appraisal process under the guidance of the NOC manager.
• Develops training plans for NOC staff and facilitates cross-training and peer mentoring
• Participates in the development of policies, standards and procedures for the NOC. Ensures approved policies, standards and procedures are followed in the NOC.
• Oversees and monitors the performance of assigned computing nodes or systems through subordinates.
• Ensures systems are managed to client SLA requirements. Manages and communicates incidents impacting SLAs.
• Develops and deploys communication and escalation plans designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of incident management.
• Leads, contributes to, and provides technical QA for outage post mortem analysis. Will be required to attend client meetings, as necessary.
• Leads and participates in technical troubleshooting calls.
• Provides technical QA and review of documentation provided to the NOC and IT Operations to ensure accuracy and ongoing applicability.
• Ensures the quality and ongoing capability of delivery of remote hands and eyes services across multiple geographies.
• Should be able to isolate, basic issues with IP Networks, Systems, Virtualization and application performance to isolate and identify issues in Network, Database, Application servers, Web Servers and Services server hosted on prem and over the cloud;
• Proficient with command line tools in various Operating System platforms (Windows/Linux) including network troubleshooting commands on Cisco IOS and similar, Storage monitoring commands, health check monitoring, Desktop resource monitoring;
• Experience with setting up alerting capabilities from various tools to monitor and alert in case of application failure;
• Extremely Detail Oriented and Organized – Good documentation skills; and Strong English written and oral communication.
