Manager - Assets Infrastructure Operations

The Manager of Assets & Infrastructure Operations is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of IT asset lifecycle management and infrastructure operations across the organization. This role ensures the performance, availability, and compliance of critical infrastructure systems while maintaining robust asset governance and supporting business continuity. The manager collaborates across departments, drives operational excellence, and ensures alignment with organizational objectives and IT standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic roadmap for IT asset and infrastructure operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and business goals.
• Lead infrastructure capacity planning, asset optimization, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Oversee the complete IT asset lifecycle: planning, procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Maintain accurate asset data in the CMDB and enforce asset governance policies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, warranties, financial tracking, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the operations of servers, storage, data centers, and other core infrastructure components to ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Supervise infrastructure support teams, ensuring adherence to SLAs and key operational metrics.
• Develop and enforce infrastructure and asset management policies and procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to asset obsolescence, supportability, and operational impact.
• Manage vendor relationships, including hardware contracts and infrastructure service agreements.
• Participate in procurement processes and contribute to technical evaluations and vendor selections.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure and asset management specialists and engineers.
• Foster strong collaboration with internal teams including service desk, networking, cybersecurity, applications, and procurement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, support training initiatives, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Utilize monitoring tools and dashboards to track infrastructure health, usage, and performance trends.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Provide regular reports and insights to senior IT leadership on infrastructure performance and asset health.
