Position Overview
Marriott International is seeking a Manager Design Premium & Select MEA to join the Global Design team in Dubai. This management role oversees design for managed, franchised, and company-owned hotels to ensure brand compliance, operational functionality, and quality control. The position involves feasibility analysis, design review, project management, and close collaboration with owners, franchisees, and internal stakeholders across the Middle East and Africa region.

Core Duties
* Oversee design quality and brand compliance for hotel projects within Premium & Select categories
* Conduct feasibility analysis, criteria development, and facilities programming for assigned projects
* Provide design reviews and solutions in coordination with Development, Feasibility, and CLS teams
* Manage design consultants, contracts, invoicing, and project deliverables
* Monitor project pipeline and provide regular updates on progress and compliance
* Review architectural, engineering, and mechanical drawings to ensure standards are met
* Lead site visits and market surveys to assess project demands and site feasibility
* Contribute to prototype roll-out strategies and development of brand standards
* Build strong relationships with owners and franchisees to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business
* Collaborate with Global Design Accounting to manage projects within approved budgets
* Support internal knowledge management, innovation, and evolving design initiatives
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience in architecture or interior design for large-scale commercial or hospitality projects
* 4-year degree in Architecture or related design discipline required; architectural license preferred
* Strong skills in project management, problem solving, and creative design solutions
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and mechanical drawings
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and architectural software (Bluebeam, Adobe, DWG viewers)
* Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
* High proficiency in English and Arabic required; additional languages an advantage
* Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time for site visits and market surveys
