Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the entire procurement process, from sourcing to payment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, identifying and negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and resolving any issues to ensure consistent quality and supply.
- Analyze market trends and economic conditions to anticipate changes in supply and demand, proactively adjusting procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations related to purchasing and logistics operations.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems, minimizing stockouts and reducing carrying costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing and logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Coordinate and optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing and logistics, ideally within the manufacturing or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in international procurement and import/export regulations is a must.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving complex supply chain challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to key supplier regions is a plus.
