Roles & Responsibilities

  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality.
  • Manual Spray Painting: Apply paint or coatings evenly using manual spray equipment, ensuring proper coverage and finish.
  • Blower Operation: Use blowers to remove dust and debris before painting and to assist in drying painted surfaces.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean spray guns, hoses, and other painting tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage and make necessary corrections.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures, including wearing protective gear and handling chemicals according to regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Vocational Training Certificate or High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in manual spray painting, preferably within a manufacturing or oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques, including sanding, priming, and masking.
  • Familiarity with various types of paint, coatings, and application techniques is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
