Our client is now recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager to be based in Egypt . You will be directly reporting to the VP Manufacturing
Purpose
The incumbent s role is to manage the manufacturing/service center for APC equipment. He is responsible for the manufacturing activities in the facility, product quality, delivery and cost. He is in charge of creating, implementing, and coordinating plans to ensure maximum profitability and reduce operating costs. He is also responsible to ensure the center operates in compliance to all regulatory requirements within APC s strategic objectives, and adopted policies and procedures. The role of the Manager Manufacturing/Service Centre is to serve the whole continent of Africa BU s on a professional basis.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Planning and Strategy
Design and implement Production strategy and roadmap to support in setting APC s corporate strategy
Establish Production plans and provide input to APC s goals that support its overall strategic plans
Collaborate with department/section heads to identify Production required projects to meet future business demands
Production Management
Oversee production planning and resource allocation to ensure the delivery of production targets within set budgets and agreed timelines
Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtime to minimize disruptions to production schedules and delivery commitments
Oversee the analysis of engineering plans and drawings for new products to ensure identifying required processes and resources for production activities
Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams to address and resolve identified technical issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
Review, report, and manage billing activities to ensure adherence to set operating budgets and support Top Management s decision making and planning activities
Process Improvement and Engineering Sustainability
Direct process improvement initiatives across production lines to minimize material waste, increase profitability, and enhance production efficiency
Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, equipment, systems and/or other assets to enhance production lines performance
Monitor production and repair operations, address deviations, and set corrective actions to ensure adherence to production and repair operations timelines
Budget
Develop the operating budget for manufacturing
Manage Production budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process
Manage Production effectively within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
Formulate strategies that result in positive financial impact for APC and mitigates financial and operational risks
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Develop and oversee the implementation of Production policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of Production systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
Safety, Health and Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across Production in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors
Ensure identified and escalated risks are effectively addressed in order to foster a safety, health and environment culture, mitigate risks and protect APC s interests
Monitor changes to legislation and APC s activities, and ensure such changes are covered within all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls
People Management
Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Production
Guide, mentor and develop the Manufacturing team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
Identify and recruit key talent for Manufacturing
Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to the Management
Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise Managers and provide regular feedback on performance
Promote a high-performance working environment and promote AGC's values
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Experience
At least 5 years of experience with ESP equipment, with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial position
Previous Production and Repair Operations in ESPs experience is required
Previous Production Engineering and Quality Management experience is preferred
Previous Oil and Gas downstream processes knowledge is required
Previous technical Oil and Gas industry knowledge is required
Education and Certifications
A bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
