Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate GMM and Donatoni CNC bridge saws, milling, and shaping machines.

  2. Programming & Software: Utilize Tagli da Cad, Parametrica, or related CAD/CAM software to input, adjust, and optimize cutting programs.

  3. Material Handling: Select, inspect, and position marble and granite slabs securely onto the machine bed using vacuum lifters and cranes.

  4. Technical Execution: Interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and templates to execute precise straight, mitered, and curved cuts.

  5. Quality Control: Measure finished stone pieces using calipers and micrometers to guarantee tight tolerances and absolute alignment with project specifications.

  6. Tool Management: Monitor, select, and change appropriate diamond tooling, blades, and core drills based on material hardness and thickness.

  7. Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting of water filtration lines and mechanical components on GMM and Donatoni systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machinery specifically within the natural stone, marble, or granite industry.

  2. Machine Expertise: Proven proficiency working directly with GMM (e.g., Egil, Brio) and Donatoni (e.g., Jet, Echo) software and control panels.

  3. Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings, 3D files, and shop templates.

  4. Stone Knowledge: Deep understanding of different types of stone (marble, granite, quartzite, porcelain) and how they react to various cutting speeds and tools.

  5. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a workshop environment, stand for long periods, and safely handle heavy slabs.
