Marketing and Events Associate (Vogue Arabia)

Job Description

This is a key role in Nervora’s marketing and events department, allowing people to experience the Vogue Arabia brand through brand marketing and marquee live events. The Marketing and Events Associate reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and Partnerships and is responsible for executing against the overall brand vision — on time and within budget.
The right candidate is calm under pressure and able to juggle numerous tasks, as you will be involved in all areas of the Vogue Arabia’s event production – budgets, staffing, strategy, production, sponsorship, and event management.
The ability to effectively plan and execute a detailed marketing and event plan is critical. You should be fazed by little and able to solve all problems, great or small, calmly and efficiently.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience putting on commercial events and be prepared to share learnings from their existing events experience.
Key responsibilities include:

Execute Vogue Arabia’s flagship and co-branded sponsored events under the direction of the department head. This includes but is not limited to:




Execute Vogue Arabia’s annual events, including the Fashion Prize and other TBA events in the model of other international Vogue and Condé Nast events.
Help develop new event concepts to meet the needs of brands and fit with Vogue Arabia’s editorial voice.
Ensure the events calendar is properly planned and communicated to the team and advertisers.
Ensure events are properly executed within budget and according to the stipulations of the department head. When facing obstacles, you will be expected to come up with solutions or step in to complete the work directly.
Manage event resources profitably, on time, and within budget.
Maintain a detailed supplier list and negotiate to obtain good deals on production, venues, and F&B for events.
Assist with site planning and confirming venues.
Direct the day-to-day work of event staff, ensuring contractors live up to their obligations.
Manage guest lists and execute the communication required for an event.
