Marketing Executive
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Replaced by: Research & Development
Basic Functions:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Marketing Manager and within the limits of established The RAY Hotel & Studios policies and procedures, develops developing marketing campaigns that promote a product, service or idea. The role includes planning, advertising, public relations, organizing events, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel policies and procedures
o Abide to hotel rules and regulations on grooming and appearance
o Have a thorough knowledge of Hotel services and products
o Comply with Hotel Rules and regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook
o Comply with Time and Attendance Policies
o Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self development
o Interact with sales, product development, and customer service departments
o Develop and maintain sales proposals and collateral, desktop publishing, rate cards, newsletters, brochures, etc
o Liaise and network with a range of customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations
o Communicate with target audiences and manage customer relationships
o Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press (local, regional, national and specialist publications) or on the radio (depending on the organization and the campaign)
o Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and DVDs
o Attend to telephone, fax, email enquiries in a timely manner
o Execute a wide variety of details that evolves direct email broadcast campaigns, marketing trade shows and events, public relations, customer communication, media advertisements, promotions and other marketing plans
o Liaise with designers and printers
o Organize photo shoots
o Arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials
o Maintain and updating customer databases
o Organize and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
o Conduct market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups
o Contribute to and developing marketing plans and strategies
o Manage Budgets
o Evaluate Marketing Campaigns
o Monitor competitor activity
o Develops standardize presentations, sales scripts, proposals
o Maintain communication open lines with all organizations and providing prompt answers to requests in order to determine how to convey concise, clear, and timely selective information
o Write and maintain content and providing monthly updates to company website
o Produce quarterly newsletter and distributing it to email marketing list of company
o Assist in writing, tracking and delivery of press releases
o Provide product positioning materials as well as training for customer service and sales
o Develop lead generation plans with targets, measures, and objectives
o Work with customers in developing case studies, references, and testimonials
o Execute and analyze results of advertisement and marketing campaigns
o Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
Be attentive to Guests and fulfill their requests
Anticipate Guests needs
Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience
Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
o Review and update existing standards to ensure competitiveness
o Prepare, calculate and achieve the department s budget
Initiate and execute all marketing activities in the region according to the annual marketing plan
Analyze actions such as The Return on investment calculations
Develop profitable joint promotions
Initiate and execute together with individuals hotel team tactical marketing activities
o Make the employees aware of the budget and know how to work accordingly
o Prepare a budget with achievable targets for the department taking into consideration the hotel s budget
o Develop procedures that track, report on, and control the running costs of the S&M department
o Organization of special events
o Set up and manage Public Relations actions locally
o Contribute to the overall strategic plan of the business and help compile the annual hotel business plan
o Always be updated the what is going on in the area
o Develop a competitive business plan for the operational area and communicate
