Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform brickwork, blockwork, plastering, rendering, and tiling for new construction, repair, and refurbishment works within ALTAIF facilities.
  • Execute concrete repair works including spalling repair, crack injection, and structural patching using approved materials.
  • Install and repair floor and wall tiles, screeds, coatings, and surface finishes in workshops, offices, and operational areas.
  • Construct, repair, and modify masonry structures including partition walls, plinths, equipment bases, and drainage channels.
  • Carry out waterproofing works on roofs, wet areas, and below-grade structures.
  • Read and interpret architectural and civil engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and other protective coatings in coordination with the painting team.
  • Fabricate and install concrete precast elements, kerbs, and paving units as required.
  • Perform routine inspection of building fabric and report defects, cracks, or structural concerns to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Ensure all masonry works comply with UAE building codes and ALTAIF quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with ALTAIF HSE policies.
  • Assist with minor civil works related to the installation of equipment foundations and anchor bolts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Knowledge of concrete repair systems and materials (BASF, Sika, or equivalent brands).
  • Experience with waterproofing systems and their application.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and material specifications.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction standards and municipality regulations.
  • Familiarity with formwork construction and concrete placement.
  • Physical fitness to perform heavy manual work in hot weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to quality and finish standards.
