Job Description

- Supervise all material sampling and testing activities on sitebr>
- Witness laboratory and in situ tests conducted by contractors or third-party testers and prepare samples for testingbr>
- Coordinate with the Work Inspector to confirm work readiness for testing and address areas of concernbr>
- Perform sampling and testing efficiently to avoid delays to contractor operationsbr>
- Conduct regular checks of delivered materials to verify conformance with approved sources and suppliersbr>
- Support quality control and quality assurance processes on sitebr>
- Assist the Senior Work Inspector Materials and Senior Materials Engineer with review, approval, testing, and acceptance of construction materialsbr>
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to material inspections and testsbr>
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical diploma in a related field with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, or a civil engineering graduate with at least three years of experience on roads and bridges projects
- Ability to read and interpret working drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and method statements
- Experience enforcing project specifications and contract drawings on site
- Strong understanding of materials testing procedures and site quality requirements
