Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules and sales forecasts.

• Convert production plans into purchase and production orders in the ERP/MRP system.

• Analyse material usage trends and ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess.

• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and usage of materials.

• Review Bill of Materials (BOM) and lead times regularly for accuracy.

• Adjust MRP parameters (safety stock, lead time, lot size) to reflect current demand and supply conditions.

• Identify and resolve material-related issues that may impact production or delivery schedules.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, purchasing, etc.) for new product introductions or engineering changes.

• Generate and analyse reports for key metrics such as inventory turns, material availability, and order accuracy.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning and supply processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in MRP, production planning, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of MRP systems, BOM, and production workflows.

• Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.

• Knowledge of Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, or other inventory control methodologies.
