MDES Product Manager, MEA
The Digital Payments & Labs team in MEA is performance driven and works across functions (i.e. product development, marketing, global and regional product teams) to refine and execute winning propositions for the region.
As the MDES Product Manager you will be responsible for managing the product strategies that will drive tokenization of 150M Mastercard cards across Middle East and Africa. You will work on Digital Activity Customers i.e. Samsung Pay Google Pay, Fitbit and Garmin as well as the MDES for Merchants and MDES for Commerce platforms, developing the go-to-market strategies to commercialize such products in target countries.
You will work in alignment with the Global product organization, Regional & Country account management and market development teams to segment customers, develop strategies & commercialization models to address our Bank s, merchant s and consumer needs.

Specific to MDES Product Management:
Manage the product line strategy by assessing consumer pain points, evaluating our competitive position, refine customer profitability and outlining gaps, and propose solutions that consider the market conditions and overall economics across stakeholders and across the value chain.
Integrate our services into Mastercard s core value proposition to drive differentiation, revenue, and processed volumes.
Determine overall positioning of MDES Alternative Networks Routing Solutions (ANRS) in markets where specific requirements so require.
Define the go to market strategies given varying differences in regulation to Domestic payments.
Drive adoption of MDES for Merchants in the Direct and PSP models by working closely with the acceptance teams as a regional SME for the product.
Manage the transition of MDES to the latest technologies (3DS2, TCC, M4M-SRC bridge)
Actively drive and support compliance with the MEA tokenization mandate.
General Product Management responsibilities:
Collaborate with Marketing, Advisors and Customer Delivery to help define and drive execution of go-to-market strategies for every market.
Liaise closely with Advisors and sales organization to understand issuer, acquirer, merchant, and consumer needs and to inform future product enhancements.
Monitor products performance metrics at all stages of the product life cycle, and make recommendations regarding solutions to challenges in the portfolio or product strategy
Assist Global and regional teams in creating training material relevant to the region and help advance capability of the account teams.
Understand and help markets to use new information, industry trends, best practices and market insights that help in positioning our products to customers and manage regulations.
All About You
Solid experience in the payment/technology industry in product management.
Understanding of the Digital Payments ecosystem trends and fast changing environment.
Proven track record in bringing ideas from creation to execution.
Knowledge of Mastercard Digital Payment solutions i.e. SRC, MDES, M4M,
Experience in the diverse MEA region ecosystem desirable.
Strong operational/technical background within the payments and financial services industries.
Strong execution skills, able to get things done through influencing others
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to customers and at conferences
Strong business acumen ability to understand and make recommendations around pricing
Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a matrix and team environment
Proven experience, and network of relationships in the Fintech industry for the identification and development of opportunities where new and innovative technologies align with Mastercard s strategy.
Understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in the markets.
English language required. Additional languages desirable.
