Mechanical Design Engineer CAD and Product Design

Mechanical Design & Product Development:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, CATIA, Or Creo.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, GD&T annotations, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
• Develop sheet metal, plastic, machined, and fabricated parts while considering manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Perform design modifications and engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) based on testing, production, or customer feedback.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and fitment validation for assemblies and moving mechanisms.

CAD Modeling & Engineering Analysis:

• Prepare high-precision 3D models and technical layouts for product development and prototyping.
• Perform basic engineering calculations related to stress, thermal performance, load distribution, and material selection.
• Support FEA/simulation activities using tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation where required.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

Prototype Development & Validation:

• Coordinate prototype fabrication and support testing activities.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design and assembly challenges.
• Participate in product validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with electrical, production, procurement, and quality teams for successful product integration.
• Support vendors and fabrication partners with technical clarifications and production documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
