Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support our factory’s engineering and maintenance operations. The role is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of machinery, utilities, and mechanical systems while contributing to efficiency improvement and continuous optimization initiatives. This is a critical role in maintaining high equipment uptime, supporting production continuity, and driving safe and energy-efficient operations.


Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, boilers, chillers, valves, and HVAC systems.

  • Diagnose mechanical failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and execute repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and update CMMS records.

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, risks, and improvement opportunities.


Engineering & Technical Support

  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and mechanical components.

  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve mechanical issues affecting output, quality, or safety.

  • Review equipment performance and recommend efficiency and cost-saving improvements.

  • Contribute to lifecycle planning and equipment upgrade initiatives.


Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide mechanical input for engineering and capital projects.

  • Assist in preparing technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements.

  • Participate in Lean initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and process optimization programs.

  • Contribute to energy-saving and utility-efficiency projects.


Utilities & Compliance

  • Support operation and maintenance of utility systems including compressed air, chilled water, steam, and HVAC.

  • Monitor equipment performance and highlight deviations.

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, LOTO procedures, and engineering SOPs.

  • Comply with environmental, energy, and safety regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience using CMMS systems.

  • Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, pumps, chillers, and industrial utilities preferred.

  • Solid understanding of maintenance practices and safety regulations.


Technical Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting capability.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

  • Experience with industrial utility systems.

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning.
