Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical EPC projects.
- Learn to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope.
- Support the senior estimators in soliciting and evaluating subcontractor quotes for various mechanical trades.
- Help in performing quantity take-offs from drawings and plans to determine material and labor requirements.
- Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Learn to identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates and communicate them to the team.
- Participate in site visits to gather information and assess project conditions.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the estimating database with current costs and market trends.
- Collaborate with other engineering and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop proficiency in using estimation software and tools, such as AutoCAD and estimation software.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Must be a UAE National.
- Fresh graduate or with less than 1 year of relevant experience in the EPC industry.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of mechanical systems and their components.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and has basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required, both written and spoken.
