Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Install, assemble, align, and maintain mechanical components and machinery as per drawings and instructions.

  2. Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of mechanical parts.

  3. Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.

  4. Perform measurement, fitting, and alignment using hand tools and measuring instruments.

  5. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults and rectifying issues efficiently.

  6. Ensure proper lubrication, tightening, and calibration of mechanical equipment.

  7. Follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and company maintenance standards at all times.

  8. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools and equipment.

  9. Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and fabricators during installation and repair work.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.

  2. Skills: Knowledge of mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance work.

  3. Technical Knowledge: Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.).

  4. Physical Fitness: Able to work in workshop and site conditions.

  5. Safety Awareness: Familiar with basic mechanical safety and industrial practices.

  6. Education/Certification (Preferred): ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent trade qualification.

  7. Personal Traits: Hardworking, reliable, team player, and willing to learn.
