The Maintenance Technician will adhere to the cGMP principles and maintain them in an effective manner. He will identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems of all machinery in the plant. He will also ensure safe engineering practices inside production suites.
Key responsibilities & Accountability:
Assists his supervisor in making maintenance shutdown schedules and preparing spares stock.
Undertaking new modifications and upgrades with respect to mechanical, electrical part of any equipment if required and improve systems efficiency to reduce maintenance costs.
Preventive and breakdown Maintenance of production and utilities equipment to guarantee smooth production without sudden interruptions.
Fixes technical problems at site such as mechanical leaks, gaskets, diaphragms, seals and O-rings replacements for pumps, valves and heat exchanges.
Maintenance of Cartridge sterile filling line (washing machine, sterilization tunnel and filling machine).
Ensures timely completion of Preventive maintenance of all sections.
Ensures work shop is maintained and equipped with all necessary tools and update on future tool requirements.
Ensures safe engineering practices inside production suites and on shop floor.
Responsible for updating and completing the preventive maintenance/breakdown notifications/maintenance orders in SAP System for respective jobs carried out.
Responsible to carry out facility inspection.
Responsible to emergency calls after duty hours.
- Education
Minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field.
- Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Pharma maintenance experience in vial/ampoule/cartridge filling lines (washing machines, sterilization tunnels and filling machines) and packaging machines.
Experience in Biotech API plant maintenance is an added advantage.
- Training:
Key Competencies:
Should be excellent in reading, writing, understanding and speaking English language.
Technical Competencies:
Has basic level of knowledge in Computers, cGMP and regulatory requirements for Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology production plant.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Knowledgeable on assembling, disassembling, repairs of critical machine components with respect to mechanical, electrical and electronics.
Ability to understand technical documentation and possess some expertise on installing new upgrades and updates.
