The Mechanical Supervisor in the secondary loop at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant is primarily responsible for overseeing and leading mechanical maintenance activities on the "Balance of Plant" (BOP) systems, which include the turbines, generators, condensers, pumps, and heat exchangers, ensuring high reliability and strict adherence to nuclear safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Oversight & Execution: Plan, supervise, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on secondary loop mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, turbines, and piping systems.

• Team Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and contractors, monitoring their performance and fostering a strong safety culture.

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSE) policies, nuclear safety procedures, and local/international regulations (e.g., FANR, WANO). This includes supervising the implementation of safety protocols like LockOut/Tag-Out (LOTO) and the permit-to-work systems.

• Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance and support for complex troubleshooting, engineering evaluations, and resolving equipment deficiencies to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

• Work Planning and Documentation: Oversee the proper and timely preparation of maintenance work, including identifying necessary spare parts, special tools, and ensuring all documentation (work orders, equipment history reports, etc.) is accurately completed using the maintenance management system (CMMS/SAP).

• Outage Management Support: Assist in planning and executing major equipment shutdowns, overhauls, and capital maintenance projects, which may require working shifts or off-hours support.

• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure all maintenance work meets the highest quality standards and is in compliance with approved procedures.
