Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, piping systems, and rotating machinery.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assist in assembling and aligning pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and record performance data to detect potential issues early.
  • Install and repair piping systems including GI, HDPE, PVC, and stainless steel pipes when required.
  • Perform fabrication work such as cutting, welding, threading, and pipe fitting (depending on project needs).
  • Support testing and commissioning of new mechanical systems and equipment installations.
  • Work closely with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure coordinated execution of site work.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards of the company.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation for all performed tasks.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade certificate.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, O&M manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • GCC experience is an advantage.
