Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to support operations in an onshore oil and gas environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of pipelines, valves, pumps, and engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, engines, valves, compressors, and pipelines
  • Ensure proper installation, alignment, and operation of mechanical systems
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and report any faults or potential issues
  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure minimal equipment downtime
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
  • Follow company safety protocols and ADNOC HSE standards
  • Complete maintenance reports, timesheets, and logs accurately
  • Assist in shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in oil & gas or industrial sectors
  • Strong understanding of pipeline systems, mechanical seals, valves, pumps, and rotating equipment
  • Familiarity with onshore plant and field maintenance practices
  • Basic knowledge of HSE practices and procedures (ADNOC HSE experience is a plus)
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and manuals
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Physically fit and able to work in outdoor and site conditions
