Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical and welded components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and industry codes like ASME and AWS.
  • Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as radiography, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle inspection to detect defects.
  • Review welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (WPQ) to verify compliance with project requirements and ensure weld quality.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken, maintaining accurate records.
  • Witness and verify welding activities, ensuring proper techniques, preheating, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) are followed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other stakeholders to resolve welding-related issues and provide technical guidance.
  • Monitor and evaluate welding consumables, ensuring proper storage, handling, and utilization to prevent contamination.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Having a total experience of min. 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry (construction and source inspection).

• Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.

• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI or another acceptable equivalent (approved by COMPANY).

• Good English lingual skills.
