Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, operate, maintain, and repair mechatronic systems including automated machinery, and electro-mechanical assemblies used in vehicle maintenance facilities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex faults in PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, sensors, actuators, and integrated control systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, automated conveyor systems, and computerized test equipment.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
  • Calibrate sensors, encoders, and measurement systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational specifications.
  • Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems during installation and upgrade projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fault logs, and equipment history in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with UAE safety regulations and ALTAIF health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Support the commissioning and testing of new mechatronic equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for recurring equipment failures.
  • Procure and manage spare parts inventory for mechatronic systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring tools and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • UAE residence or eligibility to work in the UAE.
