Roles & Responsibilities

Role:Responsible for maintaining proper disease control protocols across the facility, including cleaning, preparation of surgical packs, laundry, and general maintenance. The role also involves stocking and supplying designated areas, performing routine inspections, and carrying out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of kennels, cages, and public areas, following proper disease control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
Keep the Clinic Lead Veterinary Technician informed of any animal behaviour, health, or other concerns.
Stock all kennel and cleaning supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the day by spot-cleaning kennels and public areas.
Clean surgical laundry, clean and sonicate surgical instruments, and prepare surgical packs as required.
Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry across the clinic.
Work efficiently under stressful conditions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Cope professionally with animal deaths due to surgical complications or euthanasia.
Assist with carrying animals, food, or other heavy items for clients.
Perform food deliveries and general driving tasks for the clinic, including pickups and drop-offs.

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of disease control and hygiene protocols in a clinical or veterinary setting.
Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and strenuous cleaning tasks.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Professional and compassionate attitude towards animals and clients.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual, with good teamwork and communication skills.
