Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Review studies submitted to the credit committees to ensure compliance with the institution s credit policy especially large-scale or special-nature projects and engage with the Credit Department to discuss and negotiate credit risks, related observations, and mitigation measures to reduce exposure to the lowest level possible.
- Conduct credit risk analysis, assess creditworthiness, and determine credit ratings for SMEs applying for financing through the institution.
- Review all cases related to rescheduling, repayment deferrals, and restructuring received from the Credit Monitoring or Debt Settlement and Collection Departments to ensure compliance with the credit policy and the Asset and Liability Committee s (ALCO) decisions.
- Prepare financial analyses for company, bank, and association financial statements, review partnership contracts with intermediary entities, and propose suitable credit ceilings for ALCO review and approval.
- Evaluate and analyze risks associated with agreements and contracts with international donor entities.
- Study all new financial product proposals, identify potential risks, propose risk mitigation measures, and ensure their alignment with the institution s credit policy and risk management standards.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of credit granting principles and risk assessment.
- Ability to analyze financial and credit data effectively.
- Capability to apply work procedures efficiently with solid administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analytical reporting.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and review abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to collect, categorize, and interpret data, and communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and assume responsibility.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and commitment to continuous personal development.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Possession of a specialized or professional certificate in credit, with a minimum of a Credit Course certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit or risk management.
- Good command of English language.
