Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed MEP drawings, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand design requirements and specifications for MEP systems.
  • Develop and modify drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on initial sketches, project requirements, and site conditions.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Preparation of construction documentation, including detailed drawings, equipment schedules, and material lists.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc.) to ensure that MEP systems are integrated properly into the overall design.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and verify existing conditions as needed for drafting purposes.
  • Ensure that all drafts and drawings are updated and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the engineering team with MEP-related technical queries and drafting tasks.
  • Perform quality control on all drafts to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems design, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations related to MEP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technical degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in MEP drafting in Gcc
