Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate MEP works with architectural and structural teams.

  2. Review and approve MEP drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.

  3. Prepare and review MEP method statements and work procedures.

  4. Coordinate material procurement schedules with project timelines.

  5. Raise and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) with consultants.

  6. Verify site measurements and ensure proper setting out of services.

  7. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to MEP installations.

  8. Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM tools.

  9. Supervise on-site installation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  10. Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.

  11. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements.

  12. Support cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives.

  13. Ensure proper integration of MEP systems with fire & life safety systems.

  14. Liaise with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.

  15. Monitor project progress and prepare reports.

  16. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and safety standards.

  17. Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

  18. Assist in authority inspections and approvals.

  19. Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials on site.

  20. Provide technical training and guidance to junior engineers and site staff.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering).

  2. 3–5 years of experience in MEP coordination within construction projects.

  3. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

  5. Experience in UAE/GCC projects preferred.

  6. Knowledge of local authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, Municipality approvals).

  7. Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, BS codes).

  8. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.

  9. Knowledge of cost control, value engineering, and project planning.

  10. Experience in testing & commissioning (T&C) of MEP systems.

  11. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  12. UAE Driving license holder preferred.

  13. Professional Certification is a plus

  14. Strong leadership and team management skills.
