Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works (HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical, Firefighting, ELV).
  • Prepare and review MEP coordination drawings ensuring no clashes with structural and architectural elements.
  • Plan and schedule MEP activities in line with project timelines and sequencing.

2. Site Execution Support

  • Monitor daily MEP site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Resolve technical issues and coordinate with civil, architectural, and subcontractor teams.
  • Ensure smooth workflow and proper resource allocation for MEP installations.

3. Technical Review

  • Review all MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs before submission.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).
  • Verify materials delivered to site meet approved specifications.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Support QA/QC team to ensure workmanship quality across all MEP activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and site standards during installation.
  • Attend consultant and authority inspections as required.

5. Testing & Commissioning

  • Coordinate testing and commissioning for all MEP systems.
  • Support preparation of snag lists and ensure timely rectification.
  • Ensure proper documentation for final handover.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain logs for drawings, submittals, approvals, and site progress.
  • Prepare weekly MEP progress reports for the Project Manager.
  • Support preparation of as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • UAE Experience is Mandatory – Minimum 3 years.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings and villa projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Firefighting, ELV, and BMS systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and coordination details.
  • Experience in site coordination, sequencing, and resolving technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
