Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Studies the shop drawings and specifications and understands the reflected ceiling plans. Raises Request for Information (RFI) for clarification purposes. Incorporates MEP drawing revisions and changes into the construction activities / program. Notifies any variation / claim as applicable. Reviews MEP contactors’ submissions including shop drawings, material submittal etc. Follows the progress of MEP contractor and supervise the subcontractor’s work for technical, quality, safety and progress. Coordinates with consultant, client, government authorities etc. Follows up on approvals and NOCs. Ensures on time delivery of MEP materials and equipment, especially long lead items Arranges MEP clearance for civil works. Certifies MEP contractor’s invoices and authorizes issuance to employer Reviews all correspondence from MEP contractor and verifies their claims. Prepares response to the claim and contractual letters Manages testing & Commissioning. Ensures project is handed over as per the project requirements, snagging, de-snagging, cleaning etc. for MEP works. Manages the submission of MEP project closeout documents; as-built drawings, O&M Manuals, commissioning reports, spares etc. Ensures the safety and welfare of the workforce and proper material storage (MEP)

Desired Candidate Profile

Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in MEP projects within GCC / UAE.

Experience in Hotel and/or Building Projects
