Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of ongoing and upcoming projects. The role involves coordination between design, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure that all MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.

  1. Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and design documents.
  2. Prepare load calculations, equipment schedules, and material submittals for client approval.
  3. Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to resolve site conflicts and ensure seamless project integration.
  4. Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
  5. Ensure all MEP systems comply with local authority regulations and project standards.
  6. Prepare technical reports, daily progress updates, and inspection requests.
  7. Review and approve shop drawings and method statements.
  8. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and technical clarifications.
  9. Support the QA/QC and HSE departments in ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  10. Assist in project handover documentation and final inspection processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in MEP design, coordination, and site execution within construction or camp facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, and drainage systems.
  • Familiarity with local authority codes and standards such as ADDC, DEWA, Civil Defense, and ADM.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; Revit or MEP design software is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • UAE driving license preferred.
