Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive MEP systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct detailed load calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with architects and structural engineers to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into building designs.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications using advanced software like AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for timely project execution, managing any design changes efficiently.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, schedules, and cost estimates, to ensure transparency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to bring innovative solutions to projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certifications such as LEED AP, PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in MEP design and project management, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Experience in using design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP-related tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with analytical thinking to address complex engineering challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the engineering field.
  • Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections, including lifting and maneuvering equipment as needed.
