Renardet S.A. & Partners is an OMAN based Civil Engineering consultancy business unit and is seeking to employ an MEP Engineer with strong Design and Construction skills and qualifications to work on one of the Hospital Projects in Al Suwaiq - North Al Batinah, Salalah or Musandam - Dhofar Governate in Sultanate of Oman. The MEP Engineer shall look after all MEP aspects of the Hospital project and report to the Site Manager allocated to the site.
Responsibilities would include but not limited to:
• Reviews, evaluates design submissions, drawings, calculations, material submissions, method statements and documents for accuracy and contractual compliance with the applied standards and specifications.
• Verifies that applicable codes and engineering standard practices are being met.
• Specifying, and analysing new and existing electrical lighting systems utilising engineering standards and specialist tools.
• Input into engineering drawings and technical specifications for PMO electrical/control designs/works/methods/processes as requested.
• Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult interface/coordination requirements.
• Conducts quality assurance reviews ensuring that design, assessments, calculations and drawings are in accordance with the current industry Standards, Codes of Practice and Best Practice.
• Monitoring of worksite progress to ensure conformance to design, specifications and safety standards.
• Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimise areas of interface, during the design development, review and check processes.
• Adheres to project management plans as determined by project stakeholders.
• Responsible for coordination of specifications and drawings, Coordinates QA/QC processes and implements QA/QC recommendations.
• Participate in development of PMO requirements for testing and commissioning protocols and requirements for electrical works/systems/installations.
• Produce Minutes of Meetings, on-routine plans, reports and support, develop and maintain efficient and secure discipline s records and drawings.
• Interact, report and update the line manager on all discipline s tasks and activities and its progress on daily bases with forecasted views.
• Disposes duties and responsibilities as per PMO s reporting line of command based on the engineering department s organization structure.
• Full compliance with the PMO s confidentiality and non-disclosure terms and conditions and ensure that other discipline s team members strictly adhere and follow these terms and conditions.


Construction / Civil Engineering

MEP (Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing)

Desired Candidate Profile


• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, MEP Engineering or similar.
• 10 14 years of site experience in Mechanical/Electrical engineering works, for building systems mainly Heating, IT, Controls, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC), Fire Fighting & Compresses Air networks, preferably experience in Hospital Buildings.
• Experience in design and construction of mechanical/electrical works including pipe works, pumps, valve fittings installations and accessories.
• Fully conversant with relevant international standards. Highly experienced in working with the latest international technical standards for electrical works, current industry Standards, Codes of Practice and best practice.
• Experience in conceptual, front end (preliminary) and detailed design required.
• Experienced in all required testing and commissioning for HVAC, Firefighting pipes and pumps, compressed air systems fittings and networks.
• Experience in material review and approval and factory Acceptance Test.
• Experience in industry Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Legislation and requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a proficient command of the English Language ( both written and spoken).
• A team player with the ability to establish good working relationships with clients, line management and multifunctional teams.
• Good technical, analytical and organizational, skills.
• Familiarity with building standards and codes.
• Ethical, professional Self-starter, with the ability to work under own initiative.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to make good judgments.
