Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee MEP installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications, local codes, and industry best practices for a high-quality outcome.
  • Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, monitoring progress, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and material selections, guaranteeing alignment with project requirements and design intent.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks, identifying and rectifying any deficiencies in MEP installations proactively.
  • Collaborate with the project team (architects, structural engineers, etc.) to address MEP-related issues, ensuring seamless integration of systems.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate MEP project documentation, including progress reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning records.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and contributing to effective communication and decision-making.
  • Manage and track MEP material procurement, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage on site to prevent delays.
  • Implement and enforce site safety protocols related to MEP activities, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex MEP system issues, providing practical solutions and minimizing disruptions to construction progress.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a strong technical foundation.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E., LEED AP) demonstrating a commitment to industry standards and expertise.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering within EPC construction projects, showcasing practical knowledge.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, essential for the role.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and analysis tools, enhancing efficiency.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse project stakeholders.
  • Shows strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, enabling quick and effective resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring accurate and compliant MEP installations.
  • Displays strong organizational and time management skills, enabling effective prioritization and completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, driving projects to successful completion within the set timelines.
