Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of MEP works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily diary recording work progress, manpower, materials, and equipment on site.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other inspectors to ensure proper sequencing and quality of work.
  • Verify installation of mechanical and electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, irrigation, and fire protection.
  • Supervise material sampling and quality assurance testing of completed or suspect works.
  • Coordinate with survey teams to verify levels, alignments, and layout of services prior to execution.
  • Identify and document non-conforming works, issue reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Process inspection requests (IRs) and maintain a detailed record of approvals and rejections.
  • Ensure all works adhere to project safety standards and report violations or unsafe practices immediately.
  • Review contractor s methods of operation, equipment usage, and workmanship to ensure compliance.
  • Support the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) in preparing reports, status updates, and inspection documentation.
  • Participate actively in project safety meetings and maintain high site discipline and professionalism.

Desired Candidate Profile

Ideal Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of site inspection experience on infrastructure, landscaping, roads, or irrigation projects within Dubai or the UAE.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems used in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in inspection reporting, record keeping, and construction supervision.
  • Fully computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and project documentation software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors and consultants.
  • Strong understanding of HSE procedures and construction quality standards.
