Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee MEP installations on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, approved shop drawings, and relevant codes and standards, guaranteeing quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other trades, managing their activities to maintain project schedules, resolve conflicts, and facilitate smooth workflow.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identifying and documenting any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues, and initiating corrective actions promptly.
- Prepare and maintain detailed site progress reports, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material tracking, providing accurate records of project activities.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals, ensuring they align with project requirements and technical specifications.
- Monitor and control project costs related to MEP works, tracking expenses, identifying potential cost overruns, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other stakeholders, providing technical expertise and contributing to effective project planning and execution.
- Manage and coordinate the commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance testing prior to project handover.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates 5-10 years of hands-on experience in MEP engineering, with a proven track record in building construction projects.
- Holds relevant professional certifications such as LEED, PMP, or equivalent, showcasing commitment to industry best practices and project management.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field, demonstrating a strong foundation in MEP principles.
- Exhibits proficiency in using relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM for design and coordination purposes.
- Displays a comprehensive understanding of local and international building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to MEP systems.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
