We are seeking an experienced and motivated MEP Technician to join our dynamic team. As a critical member of the facilities management team, the MEP Technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems which include Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience and suitable technical certifications, ensuring the continued functionality and efficiency of our building infrastructure. This role requires someone who can respond to complex operational issues and perform a variety of predictive and preventative maintenance tasks. The candidate must also be comfortable with interpreting blueprints and technical documents to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Troubleshoot MEP systems to identify and address mechanical and technical issues quickly.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new MEP equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work conducted on site.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner, ensuring safety protocols and procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals for repair and installation work.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and building codes related to MEP installations.
• Assist in energy management and conservation efforts by recommending system improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to apprentices and junior technicians when necessary.
• Support building operations with a focus on quality service delivery, safety, and operational excellence.
• Prepare regular reports on the operational status of MEP systems and associated activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with a specific focus on mechanical or electrical fields.
• Minimum of three years of experience in MEP systems maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of building automation systems and HVAC controls.
• Certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in complex situations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiar with occupational safety standards and safe work practices within the MEP field.
