As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that a business s products are in the right place at the right time, and always presented in the best way possible. You will be responsible for meeting sales plans, analyzing product performance, managing inventory, and collaborating with various teams to drive the business forward. You need to possess a flair for creativity balanced with an attention to detail and a strong analytical ability to interpret consumer data. Working with both the suppliers and store retail teams, you will ensure that the products your company promotes are displayed effectively, supporting the overall strategy of the business to captivate and retain customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandising strategies to meet business goals and targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and presentation of products.
• Analyze consumer buying patterns to predict future trends and demands.
• Manage stock levels, reordering products when necessary to prevent shortages.
• Prepare sales and inventory reports for upper management analysis.
• Coordinate with the design team to optimize product presentation and displays.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
• Oversee the setup of displays and ensure they are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Communicate effectively with sales teams to ensure a cohesive sales approach.
• Train and mentor junior merchandisers to ensure team growth and efficiency.
• Liaise with marketing teams to support promotional activities and campaigns.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to stay updated on market trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Proven experience as a merchandiser or in a similar retail position.
• Strong understanding of consumer behaviors and retail trends.
• Excellent analytical abilities and experience with data analysis software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with strong organizational skills.
• Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Highly creative with experience in visual design, especially in retail settings.
